Cuba Libre
September 1st, 2007
Food menu looks nice, lots of meat on it. Now you know where the passion comes from. Our freindly waiter cum bartender explains the stuff. The food looks cheap like 15 bucks for some meat item. But since the portion is not all that big you have to order some fruit salsa & rice to make it a meal. MacDonald’s style. Order some salad, lamb meatballs and a steak, top it up to a meal if you are real hungry.
Salad is great. The first impression you develop of any restaurant is from the salad. If they put cabbages from the backyard with a shit cream based dressing you can be sure you are in some kind place where they dont appreciate food. But even this house salad had good leaves & a great vinegrade dressing on it. So that is cool.
The mains come soon enough. the protions are not big, which is a good thing as you will tend not to stuff yourself with all the food. But the stuff tastes good. Nothing ground-breaking here. But it is good food.
You finish your meal & have a couple more drinks, chill to music a bit more. Ya, you gonna have to leave now. Find someplace more happening!
Was good while it lasted. Adios.

Went back to cuba libre, this time they had a band, was good music but the sound was too loud and distorted.
